Baroness Jowell The Lord Speaker (Lord Fowler) informed the House that Baroness Jowell, a member of the House, had died on 12 May.

Parental Bereavement (Leave and Pay) Bill A bill to make provision about leave and pay for employees whose children have died was brought from the Commons. It was read a first time and ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 105)7
Crime and Courts Act 2013 (Deferred Prosecution Agreements) (Amendment of Specified Offences) Order 2018 Baroness Vere of Norbiton moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 26 February be approved. The motion was agreed to.8
Data Protection Bill [HL] The Commons Amendments were considered. Commons Amendments 1 to 61 were agreed to. Commons Amendment 62 was agreed to and Amendment 62B was agreed to instead of the words so left out of the bill (see division). Commons Amendments 63 to 282 were agreed to.9
Schools that work for everyone consultation Lord Agnew of Oulton repeated as a ministerial statement the answer given to an Urgent Question in the House of Commons.10
Nursing A question was asked by Lord Crisp and, after debate, answered by Lord Bates.
