      Business of the House The Lord Privy Seal (Baroness Evans of Bowes Park) moved that the debates on the motions in the names of Earl Attlee and Baroness Neville-Rolfe set down for today shall each be limited to 2½ hours. The motion was agreed to.

      Privileges and Conduct The Senior Deputy Speaker (Lord McFall of Alcluith) moved that the 2nd Report from the Select Committee (The conduct of Lord Lester of Herne Hill) (HL Paper 220) be agreed to. Then Lord Pannick moved, as an amendment to the motion, to leave out “agreed to” and insert “remitted to the Committee for Privileges and Conduct because the Commissioner for Standards failed to comply with paragraph 21 of the Code of Conduct which required her to act in accordance with the principles of natural justice and fairness.” After debate, the amendment was agreed to (see division).
