*Baroness Bennett of Manor Castle to ask Her Majesty's Government what plans they have to promote (1) knowledge, and (2) understanding, of the contribution of migration to society.
*Lord Blunkett to ask Her Majesty's Government how many three-month working visas for European HGV drivers have been issued to date; and what consideration they have given to extending those visas’ validity beyond three months.
*Lord Haskel to ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the compatibility of their trade policy with their climate change ambitions.
Lord Bird to move that this House takes note of the combined impact of (1) the end of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, (2) the reduction in Universal Credit, and (3) the upcoming rise in fuel prices, on people’s ability to afford to stay in their homes. (Balloted debate)
It is expected that a topical question for short debate will be asked. Ballot opens at 10am on Monday 18 October, to be drawn at 12 noon on Tuesday 19 October.
