Baroness Mobarik The Lord Speaker notified the House that he had received, under the European Parliament (House of Lords Disqualification) Regulations 2008, notification from the Regional Returning Officer of the election of Baroness Mobarik as a Member of the European Parliament for the Scotland region.

House of Lords (Hereditary Peers) (Abolition of By-Elections) Bill [HL] Lord Grocott moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole House. (at 10:05)
