    Draft Registration of Overseas Entities Bill A message was brought from the Commons that they concur with the resolution of this House of 23 October 2018 relating to a Joint Committee to consider and report on the draft Registration of Overseas Entities Bill presented to both Houses on 23 July 2018 (Cm 9635) and that they have ordered: That a Select Committee of six Members be appointed to join with a Committee appointed by the Lords for this purpose. That the Committee should report on the draft Bill by Friday 10 May 2019. That the Committee shall have power: (i) to send for persons, papers and records; (ii) to sit notwithstanding any adjournment of the House; (iii) to report from time to time; (iv) to appoint specialist advisers; and (v) to adjourn from place to place within the United Kingdom. That the quorum of the Committee shall be two.

      Motor Vehicles (Compulsory Insurance) (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 Baroness Sugg moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 24 January be approved. Then Baroness Randerson moved, as an amendment to the motion, at the end insert “but this House regrets that residents of the United Kingdom could be denied access to justice when injured abroad as they will have to make claims for compensation in the country in which the injury occurred rather than being able to appoint a claims representative in the United Kingdom.” After debate, the amendment was withdrawn. Then the original motion was agreed to.

      Merchant Shipping (Marine Equipment) (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 Baroness Sugg moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 16 January be approved. Then Lord Adonis moved, as an amendment to the motion, leave out from “that” to the end and insert “this House declines to approve the draft Regulations because they were not subject to consultation or an impact assessment.” After debate, the amendment was withdrawn. Then the original motion was agreed to.
