Business of the House The Lord Privy Seal (Lord True) moved that Standing Order 44 (No two stages of a Bill to be taken on one day) be dispensed with on Wednesday 18 January 2023 to allow the Stamp Duty Land Tax (Temporary Relief) Bill to be taken through all its remaining stages that day. The motion was agreed to. (at 15:20)

National Security Bill The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 76. Amendments 82, 85 to 87, 89, 90 to 92, 93, 94 to 96 and 98 to 102 were agreed to. The House resumed after clause 76 was agreed to. (at 15:20)

Energy Bill [HL] The Grand Committee further considered the bill, beginning with amendment 213. Amendments 222ZA to 222ZF, 227B to 227G, 242I to 244A and 245A to 248 were agreed to. It was ordered that the bill be reported with amendments. (at 15:45)
