Assisted Dying Bill [HL] Baroness Meacher moved that the bill be now read a second time. Then Lord Winston moved, as an amendment to the motion that the bill be read a second time, at the end to insert “but that this House considers that the bill should refer to euthanasia rather than assisted dying.” After debate, the amendment was withdrawn. Then the original motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole House.
