Health and Social Care Information Centre (Transfer of Functions, Abolition and Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2023 Lord Markham moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 15 December 2022 be approved. Then Lord Hunt of Kings Heath moved, as an amendment to the motion, at end insert “but that this House regrets that (1) the consultation on the statutory guidance that will direct NHS England’s handling of the medical data under these Regulations is being conducted in a rushed and piecemeal manner, and (2) the results of that consultation are not available alongside the Regulations to reassure the House that patient data will be used properly”. After debate, the amendment was withdrawn. Then the original motion was agreed to.
