further to the Written Answers of Lord O’Shaughnessy on 19 July 2017 (HL684 and HL685), and in the light of two recent studies on chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME) services, Specialist treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome/ME (Bristol University, July 2017), and Spotlight on specialist services; UK healthcare for people with ME (Action for ME July 2017), what assessment they have made of the findings that (1) fewer than half the commissioning bodies commission specialist services for people with ME/CFS, (2) fewer than a third of patients seen report improvements, and (3) there are no domiciliary or in-patient services for the severely ill and housebound; and whether they intend to conduct an examination of ME/CFS provision nationwide.
