Second Reading

European Union (Withdrawal) Bill The Lord Privy Seal (Baroness Evans of Bowes Park), on behalf of Lord Callanan, moved that the bill be now read a second time. Then Lord Adonis moved, as an amendment to the motion, at end to insert "but that this House regrets that the bill makes no provision for the opinion of the people to be secured on the terms on which Her Majesty’s Government propose that the United Kingdom withdraw from the European Union." After debate, the debate was adjourned.
