Earldom of Eglinton in the Peerage of Scotland and Earldom of Winton in the Peerage of the United Kingdom The Lord Chancellor reported that Hugh Archibald William Montgomerie (otherwise known as Lord Montgomerie) had established his claim to the Earldom of Eglinton in the Peerage of Scotland and the Earldom of Winton in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. The Clerk of the Parliaments was accordingly directed to enter the Earl of Eglinton and Winton on the register of hereditary peers maintained under Standing Order 10(5).
