Summary
Immigration (Health Charge) (Amendment) Order 2018 Baroness Williams of Trafford moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 11 October 2018 be approved. Then Lord Rosser moved as an amendment to the motion, at end to insert "but that this House regrets that the Order provides for an unaffordable level of fee, particularly for those who came to the United Kingdom as young children; does not take into account the contribution of migrants who are taxpayers; and may have a detrimental effect on recruitment for key public services, including nursing.’’ After debate, the amendment was withdrawn. Then the original motion was agreed to.
