Summary
Operation of Air Services (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018 Baroness Sugg moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 17 October 2018 be approved. Then Lord Foulkes of Cumnock moved, as an amendment to the above motion, at end insert “but regrets that the effect of a no deal exit from the European Union risks grounding all civil aircraft after 29 March 2019; and calls on Her Majesty’s Government to seek United Kingdom membership of the European Common Aviation Area in its own right to prevent such an outcome.” After debate, the amendment was withdrawn. Then the original motion was agreed to.
