Summary
European Qualifications (Health and Social Care Professions) (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018 Baroness Blackwood of North Oxford moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 20 December 2018 be approved. Then Baroness Thornton moved, as an amendment to the motion, at the end insert "but that this House regrets that, in the event of a no-deal Brexit, the additional administrative burdens for many qualifications and the prohibition of European Economic Area temporary and occasional healthcare professionals that are proposed by the draft Regulations could be detrimental to the National Health Service." After debate, the motion was withdrawn. Then the original motion was agreed to.
