Lord Scriven to ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the Mandates of the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention; the Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions; the Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression; the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights defenders; the Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief; and the Working Group on the issue of discrimination against women in law and in practice, published on 17 January, which expressed concerns over the ongoing reprisals against political prisoner Hajar Mansoor Hasan in Bahrain and identified Major Albardoli "as the prison official responsible for the abuses in Isa Town Prison"; and what steps they are taking, under their international obligations and as a signatory to the UN Convention against Torture, to tackle torture and prison abuses in Bahrain.
