Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No. 2) (England) (Amendment) (No. 5) Regulations 2020 Lord Bethell moved that the Regulations laid before the House on 24 September 2020 be approved. Then Baroness Jolly moved, as an amendment to the motion, at end to insert “but that this House regrets that, given the significant impact on the hospitality industry, Her Majesty’s Government have not outlined the scientific evidence behind the 10.00pm curfew, and that they have not sufficiently consulted local authorities and law enforcement agencies to ensure that the provisions are effective and enforceable.” After debate, the amendment was withdrawn. Then the original motion was agreed to.
