The Marquess of Lothian to ask Her Majesty's Government what estimate they have made of the annual cost of cleaning up litter each year in England and Wales; what assessment they have made of the level of litter dropped by the public in each of the last five years; what steps they are taking to address public littering; and what consideration they have given (1) to increasing fines for littering, and (2) to introducing targeted civics programmes in schools.
