1 Oath Michael Francis Bishop of Gloucester took and subscribed the oath and signed an undertaking to abide by the Code of Conduct.

2 City of Westminster Bill [HL] The Chairman of Committees moved that this House resolves that the promoters of the City of Westminster Bill [HL] which was originally introduced in this House in session 2008–09 on 22 January 2009 should have leave to proceed with the bill in the current session in accordance with the provisions of Private Business Standing Order 150B (Revival of bills). The motion was agreed to and a message was sent to the Commons.
3 Canterbury City Council Bill The Chairman of Committees moved that this House resolves that the promoters of the Canterbury City Council Bill which was originally introduced in the House of Commons in session 2007–08 on 22 January 2008 should have leave to proceed with the bill in the current session in accordance with the provisions of Private Business Standing Order 150B (Revival of bills). 12 Pensions: automatic enrolment (Balloted debate) Lord Kirkwood of Kirkhope moved for papers relating to Her Majesty's Government's plans to introduce automatic enrolment in workplace pensions. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.
13 Zimbabwe (Balloted debate) Lord St John of Bletso moved for papers relating to developments in Zimbabwe. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.
