2 City of Westminster Bill [HL] The Chairman of Committees moved that this House resolves that the promoters of the City of Westminster Bill [HL] which was originally introduced in this House in session 2008–09 on 22 January 2009 should have leave to proceed with the bill in the current session in accordance with the provisions of Private Business Standing Order 150B (Revival of bills). The motion was agreed to and a message was sent to the Commons.

3 Canterbury City Council Bill The Chairman of Committees moved that this House resolves that the promoters of the Canterbury City Council Bill which was originally introduced in the House of Commons in session 2007–08 on 22 January 2008 should have leave to proceed with the bill in the current session in accordance with the provisions of Private Business Standing Order 150B (Revival of bills). The motion was agreed to and a message was sent to the Commons.

4 Leeds City Council Bill The Chairman of Committees moved that this House resolves that the promoters of the Leeds City Council Bill which was originally introduced in the House of Commons in session 2007–08 on 22 January 2008 should have leave to proceed with the bill in the current session in accordance with the provisions of Private Business Standing Order 150B (Revival of bills). 6 Reading Borough Council Bill The Chairman of Committees moved that this House resolves that the promoters of the Reading Borough Council Bill which was originally introduced in the House of Commons in session 2007–08 on 22 January 2008 should have leave to proceed with the bill in the current session in accordance with the provisions of Private Business Standing Order 150B (Revival of bills). 8 Children: criminal responsibility A question was asked by Baroness Deech and answered by Lord McNally.

9 Children: vulnerable children A question was asked by Baroness Massey of Darwen and answered by Lord Hill of Oareford.

10 Afghanistan: child asylum seekers A question was asked by Lord Roberts of Llandudno and answered by Baroness Neville-Jones.

11 Academies Bill [HL] Lord Hill of Oareford moved that it be an instruction to the Committee of the Whole House to which the Academies Bill [HL] has been committed that they consider the bill in the following order:

Clauses 1 to 9
Schedule 1
Clause 10

Schedule 2
Clauses 11 to 16.

The motion was agreed to.

12 Pensions: automatic enrolment (Balloted debate) Lord Kirkwood of Kirkhope moved for papers relating to Her Majesty's Government's plans to introduce automatic enrolment in workplace pensions. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

13 Zimbabwe (Balloted debate) Lord St John of Bletso moved for papers relating to developments in Zimbabwe. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.
