1 Oaths The following Lords took and subscribed the oath and signed an undertaking to abide by the Code of Conduct:

2 Baroness Delacourt-Smith of Alteryn The Lord Speaker informed the House that Baroness Delacourt-Smith of Alteryn, a member of the House, had died on 8 June 2010.

3 Leave of Absence Leave of absence was granted to Lord Northfield for the remainder of this Parliament.

Private Business

4 Examiners of Petitions for Private Bills The Chairman of Committees moved that, in accordance with Private Business Standing Order 69 (Appointment of Examiners of Petitions for Private Bills), Mr Allan Deverell Roberts and Mr Peter David Davis be appointed Examiners of Petitions for Private Bills. The motion was agreed to.

5 Elections: fraudulent registration A question was asked by Lord Naseby and answered by Lord McNally.

6 Health: Isle of Man A question was asked by Lord Smith of Clifton and answered by Earl Howe.

7 Health: Government spending A question was asked by Baroness Thornton and answered by Earl Howe.

8 House of Lords: post-legislative scrutiny A question was asked by Baroness Hamwee and answered by Lord Strathclyde.

9 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games 2012 Lord Shutt of Greetland moved that this House takes note of preparations for the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. After debate, the motion was agreed to.

10 Afghanistan Lord Strathclyde repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

11 Office for Budget Responsibility Lord Sassoon repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

12 Gulf of Mexico oil spill Lord Marland repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.
