1 Lord Kennedy of Southwark Roy Francis Kennedy, Esquire, having been created Baron Kennedy of Southwark, of Newington in the London Borough of Southwark, for life by Letters Patent dated 21 June 2010, was introduced between Baroness Gould of Potternewton and Baroness McDonagh, took and subscribed the oath and signed an undertaking to abide by the Code of Conduct. (See Appendix 1)

2 Baroness Benjamin Floella Karen Yunies Benjamin, OBE, having been created Baroness Benjamin, of Beckenham in the County of Kent, for life by Letters Patent dated 26 June 2010, was introduced between Lord Dholakia and Baroness Scott of Needham Market, took and subscribed the oath and signed an undertaking to abide by the Code of Conduct. (See Appendix 2)

3 Lord McConnell of Glenscorrodale The Rt Hon Jack Wilson McConnell, having been created Baron McConnell of Glenscorrodale, of the Isle of Arran in Ayrshire and Arran, for life by Letters Patent dated 28 June 2010, was introduced between Baroness Smith of Gilmorehill and Baroness Ramsay of Cartvale, made and subscribed the solemn affirmation and signed an undertaking to abide by the Code of Conduct. 6 Allhallows Staining Church Bill [HL] The Chairman of Committees informed the House that, pursuant to Private Business Standing Order 150B (Revival of Bills), the bill had been deposited in the Office of the Clerk of the Parliaments together with the declaration of the agent. The bill was presented, read a first time, passed though all its remaining stages pro forma and sent to the Commons.

7 Kent County Council (Filming on Highways) Bill [HL] The Chairman of Committees informed the House that, pursuant to Private Business Standing Order 150B (Revival of Bills), the bill had been deposited in the Office of the Clerk of the Parliaments together with the declaration of the agent. The bill was presented, read a first time, passed though all its remaining stages pro forma and sent to the Commons.

8 London Local Authorities and Transport for London (No. 2) Bill [HL] The Chairman of Committees informed the House that, in accordance with Private Business Standing Order 150B (Revival of Bills), the bill had been deposited in the Office of the Clerk of the Parliaments together with the declaration of the agent. The bill was presented and read a first time. It was then deemed to have been read a second time and reported from the Select Committee.

9 Transport for London (Supplemental Toll Provisions) Bill [HL] The Chairman of Committees informed the House that, in accordance with Private Business Standing Order 150B (Revival of Bills), the bill had been deposited in the Office of the Clerk of the Parliaments together with the declaration of the agent. The bill was presented and read a first time. It was then deemed to have been read a second time and reported from the Unopposed Bill Committee.

10 Leeds City Council Bill The bill was brought from the Commons; the declaration of the agent having been deposited in accordance with Private Business Standing Order 150B (Revival of bills). The bill was read a first time.

11 Reading Borough Council Bill The bill was brought from the Commons; the declaration of the agent having been deposited in accordance with Private Business Standing Order 150B (Revival of bills). The bill was read a first time.

12 Commonwealth Games: Delhi A question was asked by Lord Harries of Pentregarth and answered by Lord Howell of Guildford.

13 Immigration: Refugee and Migrant Justice A question was asked by Lord Avebury and answered by Lord McNally.

14 Nuclear posture review A question was asked by Lord Hannay of Chiswick and answered by Lord Howell of Guildford.

15 Climate change: United Nations Framework Convention A question was asked by Lord Hunt of Kings Heath and answered by Lord Marland.

16 Financial provision for Members Lord Strathclyde made a statement.

17 G8 and G20 summits Lord Strathclyde repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

18 Academies Bill [HL] The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 30.

19 Gulf war illnesses A question was asked by Lord Morris of Manchester and, after debate, answered by Lord Astor of Hever.

The House adjourned. The House resumed.

20 Academies Bill [HL] The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 76B. Amendments were agreed to. The House resumed and the bill was reported with amendments. The bill, as amended, was ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 10)
