Prayers were read by the Lord Bishop of Liverpool.
1 Lord Touhig The Rt Hon James Donnelly Touhig, having been created Baron Touhig, of Islwyn and Glansychan in the County of Gwent, for life by Letters Patent dated 28 June 2010, was introduced between Baroness Ramsay of Cartvale and Lord Jones, took and subscribed the oath and signed an undertaking to abide by the Code of Conduct. (see Appendix)
2 Baroness Dunn The Clerk of the Parliaments informed the House that he had received written notice from Baroness Dunn in accordance with section 42(1) of the Constitutional Reform and Governance Act 2010, and that Baroness Dunn had therefore ceased to be a member of the House on 30 June 2010.

4 Broadcasting: digital radio A question was asked by Lord Renton of Mount Harry and answered by Lord Shutt of Greetland.
5 Health: private insurance A question was asked by Lord Crisp and answered by Lord Sassoon.
6 European Union: European Defence Agency A question was asked by Lord Anderson of Swansea and answered by Lord Astor of Hever.
7 Health: spending cuts A question was asked by Lord Harrison and answered by Earl Howe.
8 House Committee The Chairman of Committees moved that Baroness McIntosh of Hudnall be appointed a member of the Select Committee in place of Lord Bradley, resigned. The motion was agreed to.
9 Local Government Bill [HL] Baroness Hanham moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole House.
10 Health: stroke treatment A question was asked by Lord Rodgers of Quarry Bank and, after debate, answered by Earl Howe.
