1 Lord Willis of Knaresborough George Philip Willis, Esquire, having been created Baron Willis of Knaresborough, of Harrogate in the County of North Yorkshire, for life by Letters Patent dated 18 June 2010, was introduced between Lord Wallace of Saltaire and Baroness Harris of Richmond, took and subscribed the oath and signed an undertaking to abide by the Code of Conduct. 8 Afghanistan Lord Astor of Hever repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

9 Academies Bill [HL] The report stage was continued, beginning with amendment 6. Amendment 9 was disagreed to (see division list 1). An amendment was agreed to. The report stage was adjourned.

10 National Health Service: pain management services A question was asked by Lord Luce and, after debate, answered by Earl Howe.

11 Academies Bill [HL] The report stage was continued, beginning with amendment 16. Amendment 26 was disagreed to (see division list 2). Amendments were agreed to. The bill, as amended, was ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 13)
