4 House of Lords Resource Accounts 2009–10 The Resource Accounts for the year 2009–10 were laid before the House and ordered to be printed. (HL Paper 27)

5 International Criminal Court A question was asked by Baroness Stern and answered by Lord Howell of Guildford.

6 Bovine tuberculosis A question was asked by Lord Dixon-Smith and answered by Lord Henley.

7 Visas A question was asked by Lord Clement-Jones and answered by Lord De Mauley.

8 Sheffield Forgemasters A question was asked by Lord Hunt of Kings Heath and answered by Baroness Wilcox.

9 Business of the House Lord Strathclyde moved that Standing Order 46 (No two stages of a Bill to be taken on one day) be dispensed with on Monday 26 July to allow the Consolidated Fund (Appropriation) Bill and the Finance Bill to be taken through all their remaining stages that day. The motion was agreed to.

10 Business of the House Lord Strathclyde moved that the debate on the motion in the name of Lord Mackenzie of Framwellgate set down for today shall be limited to 2 hours and that in the name of Lord McKenzie of Luton to 3 hours. The motion was agreed to.

11 Administration and Works The Chairman of Committees moved that Lord Faulkner of Worcester be appointed a member of the Select Committee. The motion was agreed to.

12 Communications The Chairman of Committees moved that the Lord Bishop of Liverpool be appointed a member of the Select Committee. The motion was agreed to.

13 Merits of Statutory Instruments The Chairman of Committees moved that Lord Plant of Highfield be appointed a member of the Select Committee in place of Lord Rosser, resigned. The motion was agreed to.

14 Refreshment The Chairman of Committees moved that Baroness Crawley be appointed a member of the Select Committee in place of Lord Davies of Oldham, resigned. The motion was agreed to.

15 Policing and crime (2-hour debate) Lord Mackenzie of Framwellgate moved for papers relating to policing and crime rates. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

16 Poverty (3-hour debate) Lord McKenzie of Luton moved for papers relating to the impact of the Budget on people in poverty. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

The House adjourned at 3.50pm until Monday 26 July at 2.15pm.
