1 Dukedom of Hamilton in the Peerage of Scotland and Dukedom of Brandon in the Peerage of Great Britain The Petition of Alexander Douglas Douglas-Hamilton, claiming to have succeeded to the Dukedom of Hamilton in the Peerage of Scotland and to the Dukedom of Brandon in the Peerage of Great Britain and praying that the Clerk of the Parliaments might be directed to enter the petitioner as the Duke of Hamilton and Brandon on the register of hereditary peers maintained under Standing Order 10(5) was presented and was referred to the Lord Chancellor for a report to the House pursuant to Standing Order 11.

14 Charitable sector Lord Taylor of Holbeach moved that this House takes note of the role of the charitable sector in strengthening civil society. After debate, the motion was agreed to.
