1 Human rights: spending cuts A question was asked by Lord Clinton-Davis and answered by Lord McNally.

2 Government efficiency A question was asked by Lord Hunt of Kings Heath and answered by Lord Taylor of Holbeach.

3 Health Protection Agency A question was asked by Baroness Thornton and answered by Earl Howe.

4 Israel and Palestine: West Bank A question was asked by Baroness Tonge and answered by Lord Howell of Guildford.

5 Procedure of the House The Chairman of Committees moved that the 2nd Report from the Select Committee (HL Paper 30) be agreed to. The motion was agreed to.

6 Rural communities: Prince's Countryside Fund (Balloted debate) Lord Gardiner of Kimble moved for papers relating to the launch of the Prince's Countryside Fund, and to the case for continuing support for rural communities. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

7 Food: regulation and guidance (Balloted debate) Lord Whitty moved for papers relating to the role of regulation and guidance in the food chain and of food standards in improving nutritional outcomes for adults and children. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

8 Millennium Development Goals A question was asked by Lord Chidgey and, after debate, answered by Earl Attlee.
