7 Savings Accounts and Health in Pregnancy Grant Bill A bill to make provision about eligibility for a child trust fund; to repeal the Saving Gateway Accounts Act 2009; to make provision about entitlement to health in pregnancy grant; and for connected purposes, certified by the Speaker as a money bill, was brought from the Commons. It was read a first time and ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 30)

9 Apportionment of Money in the National Lottery Distribution Fund Order 2010 Baroness Garden of Frognal moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 14 October be approved. The motion was agreed to.

10 Official Statistics Order 2010 Lord Taylor of Holbeach moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 13 October be approved. The motion was agreed to.

11 Public Bodies Bill [HL] The bill was considered in Committee. Amendment 1 was agreed to (see division list). The House resumed.

12 Controlling migration Baroness Neville-Jones repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

13 Public Bodies Bill [HL] The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 3. Amendments were considered. The House resumed.

14 Medical Profession (Responsible Officers) Regulations 2010 Earl Howe moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 26 July be approved. Then Baroness Thornton moved, as an amendment to the original motion, at end to insert "but this House regrets that the draft Regulations may imperfectly achieve the policy objective of the introduction of a revalidation scheme in light of the Government's proposed changes to the NHS administrative structure which will affect the operation of the revalidation scheme in general, and these Regulations in particular." After debate, the amendment was withdrawn. Then the original motion was agreed to.
