4 Legal aid: family courts A question was asked by Baroness Deech and answered by Lord McNally.

5 Consolidated Fund Bill A bill to authorise the use of resources for the service of the year ending with 31 March 2011 and to apply certain sums out of the Consolidated Fund to the service of the year ending with 31 March 2011; and to authorise the use of resources for the year ending with 31 March 2012 and the issue of sums out of the Consolidated Fund for the year ending with 31 March 2012, certified by the Speaker as a money bill, was brought from the Commons and read a first time.

6 Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Bill The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 35. The House resumed.

7 Public disorder: policing Lord Strathclyde repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

8 Local Government: finance Baroness Hanham repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.
