Prayers were read by the Lord Bishop of Wakefield.
1 Lord Fink Stanley Fink, Esquire, having been created Baron Fink, of Northwood in the County of Middlesex, for life by Letters Patent dated in the afternoon of 18 January 2011, was introduced between Lord Harris of Peckham and Lord Howard of Lympne, took and subscribed the oath and signed an undertaking to abide by the Code of Conduct. (See Appendix 1)
2 Lord Stoneham of Droxford Benjamin Russell Mackintosh Stoneham, Esquire, having been created Baron Stoneham of Droxford, of Meon Valley in the County of Hampshire, for life by Letters Patent dated in the afternoon of 17 January 2011, was introduced between Lord Rennard and Lord Oakeshott of Seagrove Bay, took and subscribed the oath and signed an undertaking to abide by the Code of Conduct. (See Appendix 2)
3 Baroness Berridge Elizabeth Rose Berridge, having been created Baroness Berridge, of The Vale of Catmose in the County of Rutland, for life by Letters Patent dated in the forenoon of 18 January 2011, was introduced between Lord McColl of Dulwich and Baroness Morris of Bolton, took and subscribed the oath and signed an undertaking to abide by the Code of Conduct. (See Appendix 3)

4 Gaza A question was asked by Lord Fowler and answered by Lord Howell of Guildford.
5 Disabled people: transport A question was asked by Lord Low of Dalston and answered by Earl Attlee.
6 St Lucia: Hurricane Tomas A question was asked by Baroness Benjamin and answered by Baroness Verma.
7 Health: influenza vaccination A question was asked by Lord Kennedy of Southwark and answered by Earl Howe.
8 Business of the House Lord Strathclyde moved that the debate on the motion in the name of Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean set down for today shall be limited to 5 hours. The motion was agreed to.
9 Coalition government (5-hour debate) Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean moved for papers relating to the constitutional and Parliamentary effect of coalition government. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.
10 Counter-terrorism Baroness Neville-Jones repeated as a ministerial statement the answer given to an Urgent Question in the House of Commons.
11 Terrorism Act 2000 (Proscribed Organisations) (Amendment) Order 2011 Baroness Neville-Jones moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 17 January be approved. After debate, the motion was agreed to.
