5 Charities Bill [HL] Baroness Verma presented a bill to consolidate the Charities Act 1993 and other enactments which relate to charities. It was read a first time and ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 50)

6 Business of the House Lord Strathclyde moved that the debate on the motion in the name of Baroness Gould of Potternewton set down for today shall be limited to 4½ hours and that in the name of Lord Clark of Windermere to 1 hour. The motion was agreed to.

17 International Women's Day (4½-hour debate) Baroness Gould of Potternewton moved for papers relating to the global and domestic challenges for women in the centenary year of International Women's Day. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

18 British Sky Broadcasting Baroness Rawlings repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

19 Forestry Commission (1-hour debate) Lord Clark of Windermere moved for papers relating to Her Majesty's Government's plans to dispose of the Forestry Commission estate. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

20 Consolidated Fund (Appropriation) (No. 2) Bill A bill to authorise the use of resources for the service of the years ending with 31 March 2010 and 31 March 2011 and to apply certain sums out of the Consolidated Fund to the service of the years ending with 31 March 2010 and 31 March 2011; and to appropriate the supply authorised in this Session of Parliament for the service of the years ending with 31 March 2010 and 31 March 2011, certified by the Speaker as a money bill, was brought from the Commons and read a first time.
