8 Draft Detention of Terrorist Suspects (Temporary Extension) Bills A message was brought from the Commons that they concur with the resolution of this House of 8 March relating to a Joint Committee to consider the draft Detention of Terrorist Suspects (Temporary Extension) Bills presented to both Houses on 11 February and that they have made the following orders:

That a Select Committee of six members be appointed to join with the Committee appointed by the Lords to consider the draft Bills.

That the Committee should report on the draft Bills by 9 June 2011.

That the Committee shall have power—
(i) to send for persons, papers and records;
(ii) to sit notwithstanding any adjournment of the House;
(iii) to report from time to time;
(iv) to appoint specialist advisers; and
(v) to adjourn from place to place within the United Kingdom.

9 Financial Assistance Scheme (Revaluation and Indexation Amendments) Regulations 2011 Lord Freud moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 31 January be approved. The motion was agreed to.

10 Mesothelioma Lump Sum Payments (Conditions and Amounts) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 Lord Freud moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 3 February be approved. The motion was agreed to.

11 Occupational Pension Schemes (Levy Ceiling) Order 2011 Lord Freud moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 3 February be approved. The motion was agreed to.

17 Employment and Support Allowance (Limited Capability for Work and Limited Capability for Work-Related Activity) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 Lord Kirkwood of Kirkhope moved that a Humble Address be presented to Her Majesty praying that the Regulations, laid before the House on 10 February, be annulled (SI 2011/228). After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

18 Postal Services Bill The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 22D. Amendments were considered. The House resumed after clause 15 was agreed to.
