Public Business

1 Pensions A question was asked by Lord Dykes and answered by Lord Taylor of Holbeach.

2 Education: English Baccalaureate A question was asked by Baroness Jones of Whitchurch and answered by Lord Hill of Oareford.

3 Sudan A question was asked by Lord Avebury, on behalf of Lord Chidgey, and answered by Lord Howell of Guildford.

4 World Development Report 2011 A question was asked by Lord McConnell of Glenscorrodale and answered by Baroness Verma.

5 Chechnya and the North Caucasus (Balloted debate) Lord Judd moved for papers relating to the political situation in Chechnya and the North Caucasus, and its implications for global security. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

6 Disabled people (Balloted debate) Lord Low of Dalston moved for papers relating to the impact of Government policies on disabled people. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

7 Charities Bill [HL] Baroness Verma moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.

The House adjourned at 4.54pm until Monday 9 May at 2.30pm.
