The following Reports from the Joint Committee were made and ordered to be printed:

The Terrorism Act 2000 (Remedial) Order 2011: Stop and Search without Reasonable Suspicion (14th Report, HL Paper 155)

The Human Rights Implications of UK Extradition Policy. (15th Report, HL Paper 156)

Public Business

2 Health: multiple sclerosis A question was asked by Lord Dubs and answered by Earl Howe.

3 Health: hospital-acquired infection A question was asked by Lord Sheldon and answered by Earl Howe.

4 Leader's Group on Working Practices A question was asked by Lord Tyler and answered by Lord Strathclyde.

5 Care homes A question was asked by Baroness Bakewell and answered by Earl Howe.

6 Arbitration and Mediation Services (Equality) Bill [HL] Baroness Cox presented a bill to make further provision about arbitration and mediation services and the application of equality legislation to such services; to make provision about the protection of victims of domestic abuse; and for connected purposes. It was read a first time and ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 72)

7 Draft House of Lords Reform Bill Lord Strathclyde moved that it is expedient that a joint committee of Lords and Commons be appointed to consider and report on the draft House of Lords Reform Bill presented to both Houses on 17 May (Cm 8077), and that the committee should report on the draft Bill by 29 February 2012. Then Lord Cunningham of Felling moved, as an amendment to the original motion, after "(Cm 8077)," insert "and, mindful of the need to protect the primacy of the House of Commons, that it be an instruction to the Committee to take into account the conclusions of the Joint Committee on Conventions which was noted with approval by both Houses". After debate, the amendment was withdrawn. Then the original motion was agreed to and a message was sent to the Commons.

8 Localism Bill Baroness Hanham moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole House.

Taxation of Equitable Life (Payments) Order 2011 Lord Sassoon moved that the Grand Committee do consider the draft Taxation of Equitable Life (Payments) Order 2011. After debate, the motion was agreed to.
