4 Drugs: prescribed drug addiction and withdrawal A question was asked by the Earl of Sandwich and answered by Earl Howe.

6 Information The Chairman of Committees moved that Lord Maxton be appointed a member of the Select Committee in place of Baroness Gibson of Market Rasen, resigned. The motion was agreed to.

7 Land Registration (Network Access) (Amendment) Rules 2011 Lord Strathclyde moved that the draft Rules be referred to a Grand Committee. The motion was agreed to.

8 Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2011 Lord Strathclyde moved that the draft Order be referred to a Grand Committee. The motion was agreed to.

9 Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2011 Lord Strathclyde moved that the draft Order be referred to a Grand Committee. The motion was agreed to.

19 Estates of Deceased Persons (Forfeiture Rule and Law of Succession) Bill The bill was read a third time and passed.

20 European Union Bill The bill was read a third time. After debate, the bill was passed and returned to the Commons with amendments.

21 Localism Bill The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 34. Amendments were agreed to. The House resumed after clause 21 was agreed to.

22 Draft House of Lords Reform Bill A message was brought from the Commons that they concur with the resolution of this House of 7 June relating to a Joint Committee to consider the draft House of Lords Reform Bill presented to both Houses on 17 May and that they have made the following orders:

That a Select Committee of thirteen Members be appointed to join with the Committee appointed by the Lords to consider the draft Bill.

That the Committee should report on the draft Bill by 29 February 2012.

That the Committee shall have power—
(i) to send for persons, papers and records;
(ii) to sit notwithstanding any adjournment of the House;
(iii) to report from time to time;
(iv) to appoint specialist advisers; and
(v) to adjourn from place to place within the United Kingdom.

The House adjourned at 7.27pm until Monday 27 June at 2.30pm.
