7 Business of the House Lord Strathclyde moved that Standing Order 46 (No two stages of a Bill to be taken on one day) be dispensed with on Tuesday 12 July to allow the Police (Detention and Bail) Bill to be taken through all its remaining stages and on Monday 18 July to allow the Finance (No. 3) Bill and the Supply and Appropriation (Main Estimates) Bill to be taken through all their remaining stages. The motion was agreed to.

8 Communications Act 2003 (Maximum Penalty for Contravention of Information Requirements) Order 2011 Baroness Rawlings moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 23 May be approved. The motion was agreed to.

9 Gambling Act 2005 (Gaming Machines in Adult Gaming Centres and Bingo Premises) Order 2011 Baroness Rawlings moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 7 June be approved. The motion was agreed to.

10 Categories of Gaming Machine (Amendment) Regulations 2011 Baroness Rawlings moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 7 June be approved. The motion was agreed to.

11 Distribution of Dormant Account Money (Apportionment) Order 2011 Baroness Verma moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 9 May be approved. After debate, the motion was agreed to.

12 Charities Act 2006 (Principal Regulators of Exempt Charities) Regulations 2011 Baroness Verma moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 12 May be approved. The motion was agreed to.

13 Charities Act 2006 (Changes in Exempt Charities) Order 2011 Baroness Verma moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 12 May be approved. The motion was agreed to.

14 Police Reform and Social Responsibility Bill The report stage was continued, beginning with amendment 101. Amendments 103A and 106 were disagreed to (see division lists 1 and 2). Amendments were agreed to. Amendment 117 was disagreed to (see division list 3). The report stage was adjourned.

15 Open Public Services White Paper Baroness Verma repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

16 Phone hacking Baroness Rawlings repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

17 Tobacco Advertising and Promotion (Display and Specialist Tobacconists) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 Baroness Thornton moved that this House regrets that the timetable for implementation of the Tobacco Advertising and Promotion (Display and Specialist Tobacconists) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 (SI 2011/1256) may result in up to 4,000 more young people taking up smoking than if the original implementation date had been kept to; further regrets that the Government have not explained how they will mitigate burdens on business "while maintaining the expected public health gains"; and calls on the Government to make the health needs of young people the priority by keeping to the original timetable for implementation. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

18 Police Reform and Social Responsibility Bill The report stage was continued, beginning with amendment 118. Amendments were agreed to. The report stage was adjourned after amendment 229.

19 European Union Bill The bill was returned from the Commons with certain Lords amendments agreed to; an amendment agreed to with amendments; and the remaining amendments disagreed to with reasons. The Commons amendments and reasons were ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 84)
