Public Business

2 Human rights: Kashmir A question was asked by Lord Hussain and answered by Lord Howell of Guildford.

3 Employment: market and coastal towns A question was asked by Lord Knight of Weymouth and answered by Lord De Mauley.

4 Coroners' inquests A question was asked by Baroness Miller of Chilthorne Domer and answered by Baroness Northover.

5 BSkyB A question was asked by Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean and answered by Baroness Rawlings.

6 Police (Detention and Bail) Bill Baroness Browning moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to. Then, Standing Order 46 having been dispensed with, the House resolved itself into a Committee on the bill and the bill was reported from the Committee without amendment. The report was received forthwith and the bill was read a third time and passed.

7 Localism Bill The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 147FJ. An amendment was agreed to. The House resumed.

8 Southern Cross Earl Howe repeated as a ministerial statement the answer given to an Urgent Question in the House of Commons.

9 Electricity market reform Lord Marland repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.
