Public Business

1 Coinage (Measurement) Bill Lord Risby moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole House.

2 Live Music Bill [HL] The bill was considered in Committee. Amendments were agreed to. The House resumed and the bill was reported with amendments. The bill, as amended, was ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 88)

3 Rehabilitation of Offenders (Amendment) Bill [HL] The bill was considered in Committee. An amendment was agreed to. The House resumed and the bill was reported with an amendment. The bill, as amended, was ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 89)

The House adjourned. The House resumed.

4 Media: News Corporation Lord Fowler moved that this House takes note of recent allegations about the conduct of the news media and police; and the position of News Corporation within United Kingdom media provision. After debate, the motion was agreed to.

The House adjourned at 3.21pm until Monday 18 July at 2.30pm.
