1 Retirements The Lord Speaker informed the House that the following members of the House had retired from the service of the House:

Public Business

2 Health: breast cancer A question was asked by Baroness Morgan of Drefelin and answered by Earl Howe.

3 Railways: theft A question was asked by Lord Faulkner of Worcester and answered by Lord Henley.

4 House of Lords: reform A question was asked by Lord Grocott and answered by Lord McNally.

5 European Union: credit rating agencies A question was asked by Lord Foulkes of Cumnock and answered by Lord Sassoon.

6 Sovereign Grant Bill Lord Shutt of Greetland signified the Prince of Wales's consent. Then Lord Sassoon moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the committee was negatived. Then, Standing Order 46 having been dispensed with, the bill was read a third time and passed.

7 London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (Amendment) Bill Baroness Garden of Frognal moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Grand Committee.

8 Energy Bill [HL] The Explanatory Notes on the Commons Amendments were printed in accordance with Standing Order 50. (HL Bill 97)
