4 Economy: capital expenditure A question was asked by Lord Barnett and answered by Lord Sassoon.

5 Armed Forces Bill The report was received. Amendments were considered.

6 Education Bill The bill was reported from the Grand Committee with amendments. The bill, as amended, was ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 98)

7 Energy Bill [HL] The Commons amendments were considered and agreed to.
