5 Death penalty A question was asked by Baroness Stern and answered by Lord Howell of Guildford.
6 Business of the House Baroness Anelay of St Johns, on behalf of Lord Strathclyde, moved that Standing Order 40(1) (Arrangement of the Order Paper) be dispensed with on Tuesday 11 October and Wednesday 12 October to enable proceedings on the Health and Social Care Bill to take place before oral questions. The motion was agreed to.
7 Live Music Bill [HL] The report was received.
8 Armed Forces Bill The bill was read a third time. Amendments were agreed to. Amendments 2 and 8 were agreed to (see division lists 1 and 2). The bill was passed and returned to the Commons with amendments.
9 Localism Bill The report stage was continued, beginning with amendment 190. Amendments were agreed to. Amendment 199 was disagreed to (see division list 3). The report stage was adjourned after amendment 203J.
