Public Business

1 Health: early diagnosis A question was asked by Lord Sharkey and answered by Earl Howe.

2 Children: television A question was asked by Baroness Benjamin and answered by Baroness Rawlings.

3 International development A question was asked by Lord Sheikh and answered by Baroness Northover.

4 Syria A question was asked by Lord Risby and answered by Lord Howell of Guildford.

5 London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (Amendment) Bill The bill was read a third time and passed. The bill was returned to the Commons with amendments.

6 Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill Lord McNally moved that the bill be now read a second time. After debate, the motion was agreed to and the bill was committed to a Committee of the Whole House.

The House adjourned at 11.09pm until Tuesday 22 November at 2.30pm.

Grand Committee Business

The Grand Committee met in the Committee Room 4A at 3.30pm.

Welfare Reform Bill The Grand Committee further considered the bill, beginning with amendment 86EA. Amendments were agreed to. The debate on amendment 99ZB was adjourned. The Committee adjourned.
