2 House of Lords: reform A question was asked by Lord Grocott and answered by Lord Strathclyde.

3 Falkland Islands A question was asked by Viscount Montgomery of Alamein and answered by Lord Howell of Guildford.

4 Child poverty A question was asked by Baroness Massey of Darwen and answered by Lord Freud.

5 Coins A question was asked by Baroness Smith of Basildon and answered by Lord Sassoon.

6 European Union (Definition of Treaties) (Republic of Korea Free Trade Agreement) Order 2012 Lord De Mauley, on behalf of Baroness Wilcox, moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 2 November be approved. The motion was agreed to.

7 Local Better Regulation Office (Dissolution and Transfer of Functions, Etc.) Order 2012 Lord De Mauley, on behalf of Baroness Wilcox, moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 6 December be approved. The motion was agreed to.

8 Scotland Bill Lord Wallace of Tankerness moved that it be an instruction to the Committee of the Whole House to which the Scotland Bill has been committed that they consider the bill in the following order:

Clauses 11 to 44

Clause 10

Schedules 1 to 5.

After debate, the motion was agreed to.

9 Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 73. Amendments were agreed to. The House resumed.

10 Iran Lord Howell of Guildford repeated as a ministerial statement the answer given to an Urgent Question in the House of Commons.

11 Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 82. Amendments were agreed to. The House resumed.

12 Design education and growth A question was asked by Baroness Whitaker and, after debate, answered by Baroness Wilcox.

13 Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 96. The House resumed after clause 42 was agreed to.
