2 Rail: Great Western passenger franchise A question was asked by Lord Berkeley and answered by Earl Attlee.

3 Individual Savings Accounts: AIM shares A question was asked by Lord Northbrook and answered by Lord Sassoon.

4 Legal aid A question was asked by Lord Bach and answered by Lord McNally.

5 Companies: executive remuneration A question was asked by Lord Lea of Crondall and answered by Baroness Wilcox.

6 Welfare Reform Bill The bill was read a third time. Amendment 1 was agreed to (see division list). Amendments were agreed to. Then the bill was passed and returned to the Commons with amendments.

7 European Union Council Lord Strathclyde repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

8 Protection of Freedoms Bill The report was received. Amendments were agreed to. The report stage was adjourned after amendment 34.
