Public Business

3 Budget deficit A question was asked by Lord Barnett and answered by Lord Sassoon.

4 Commonwealth countries: trade A question was asked by Lord Empey and answered by Baroness Wilcox.

5 Economy: growth A question was asked by Lord Roberts of Conwy and answered by Baroness Wilcox.

6 BSkyB A question was asked by Baroness Jones of Whitchurch and answered by Baroness Garden of Frognal.

7 Local Authorities (Conduct of Referendums) (Council Tax Increases) (England) Regulations 2012 Baroness Hanham moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 11 January be approved. The motion was agreed to.

8 Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims (Amendment) Bill The order of commitment was discharged.

9 Protection of Freedoms Bill The report stage was continued, beginning with amendment 50A. Amendments were agreed to. The bill, as amended, was ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 128)

10 Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 182A. Amendments were agreed to. The House resumed and the bill was reported with amendments. The bill, as amended, was ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 129)
