1 Viscountcy of Ridley in the Peerage of the United Kingdom The Petition of Matthew White Ridley claiming to have succeeded to the Viscountcy of Ridley in the Peerage of the United Kingdom and praying that the Clerk of the Parliaments might be directed to enter the petitioner as Viscount Ridley on the register of hereditary peers maintained under Standing Order 10(5) was presented and was referred to the Lord Chancellor for a report to the House pursuant to Standing Order 11.
2 Barony of Suffield in the Peerage of Great Britain The Petition of The Honourable Charles Anthony Assheton Harbord-Hamond claiming to have succeeded to the Barony of Suffield in the Peerage of Great Britain and praying that the Clerk of the Parliaments might be directed to enter the petitioner as Lord Suffield on the register of hereditary peers maintained under Standing Order 10(5) was presented and referred to the Lord Chancellor for a report to the House pursuant to Standing Order 11.
3 Barony of Somerleyton in the Peerage of the United Kingdom The Lord Chancellor reported that Hugh Francis Savile Crossley had established his succession to the Barony of Somerleyton. The Clerk of the Parliaments was accordingly directed to enter Lord Somerleyton on the register of hereditary peers maintained under Standing Order 10(5).

16 Business of the House Lord Strathclyde moved, pursuant to the resolution of the House of 28 March, that in the event of a Trusts (Capital and Income) Bill being read a first time in the same form as it stood at the end of the last session of Parliament, Standing Order 46 (No two stages of a Bill to be taken on one day) be dispensed with to enable the Bill to be read a second time pro forma. The motion was agreed to.
17 Trusts (Capital and Income) Bill [HL] Standing Order 46 having been dispensed with, Lord McNally moved that the bill be now read a second time pro forma. The motion was agreed to.
18 Queen’s Speech The debate on the motion that a Humble Address be presented to Her Majesty was resumed and, after further debate, was again adjourned until Monday 14 May.
19 Health transition risk register Earl Howe repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.
20 Defence: carrier strike capability Lord Astor of Hever repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.
