4 Queen's Speech The Lord Chamberlain, Earl Peel, delivered Her Majesty’s reply to the Address of 17 May, as follows:

6 West Bank and Gaza A question was asked by Baroness Tonge and answered by Baroness Northover.

7 Energy: nuclear power A question was asked by Lord Davies of Stamford and answered by Lord Marland.

9 Referendum (European Union) Bill [HL] Lord Willoughby de Broke presented a Bill to make provision for the holding of a referendum in the United Kingdom, on the United Kingdom’s continued membership of the European Union. It was read a first time and ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 28)

10 Small and Medium Sized Enterprises The Chairman of Committees moved that a Select Committee be appointed to consider Her Majesty’s Government’s assistance and promotion of the export of products and services by small and medium sized enterprises, and to make recommendations, and that, as proposed by the Committee of Selection, the following members be appointed to the Committee:
