3 Rookery South (Resource Recovery Facility) Order 2011 A message was received from the Commons that they have appointed a committee of three members to join with a committee of this House as the Joint Committee to which the Petitions of General Objection and Petitions of Amendment against the Rookery South (Resource Recovery Facility) Order 2011 stand referred.

4 National Health Service: Liverpool Care Pathway A question was asked by Baroness Knight of Collingtree and answered by Earl Howe.

5 European Court of Justice: jurisdiction A question was asked by Lord Vinson and answered by Lord Henley.

6 Wales: Barnett Formula A question was asked by Lord Wigley and answered by Lord Sassoon.

7 Schools: curriculum A question was asked by Baroness Jones of Whitchurch and answered by Lord Hill of Oareford.

8 Refreshment The Chairman of Committees moved that a Select Committee be appointed to advise on the refreshment services provided for the House, within the strategic framework and financial limits approved by the House Committee;

9 Broadcasting (Local Digital Television Programme Services and Independent Productions) (Amendment) Order 2012 Baroness Garden of Frognal moved that the draft Order be referred to a Grand Committee. The motion was agreed to.

10 Armed Forces Act (Continuation) Order 2012 Lord Astor of Hever moved that the draft Order be referred to a Grand Committee. The motion was agreed to.

11 Community Right to Challenge (Fire and Rescue Authorities and Rejection of Expressions of Interest) (England) Regulations 2012 Baroness Hanham moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 30 April be approved. The motion was agreed to.

12 Local Government Finance Bill Baroness Hanham moved that it be an instruction to the Grand Committee to which the Local Government Finance Bill has been committed that they consider the bill in the following order:

14 Directors' pay Baroness Wilcox repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

15 Crime and Courts Bill [HL] The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 28. Amendments were agreed to. The House resumed after Schedule 7 was agreed to.

16 Data protection in the areas of police and criminal justice (EU Directive) Lord McNally moved that this House takes note of European Union Document No. 5833/12 and Addenda 1 and 2, relating to a Draft Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by competent authorities for the purposes of prevention, investigation, detection or prosecution of criminal offences or the execution of criminal penalties, and the free movement of such data; and takes note of the Government’s recommendation not to exercise its right to opt out of this draft Directive under Protocol 19 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (The Schengen Protocol). After debate, the motion was agreed to.
