Public Business

2 Young people: parenthood A question was asked by Lord Northbourne and answered by Lord Hill of Oareford.

3 Poverty: developing countries A question was asked by Lord Loomba and answered by Baroness Northover.

4 Armed forces: discrimination A question was asked by Lord Tunnicliffe and answered by Lord Astor of Hever.

5 Care homes A question was asked by Baroness Wheeler and answered by Earl Howe.

6 British Waterways Board (Transfer of Functions) Order 2012 Lord De Mauley, on behalf of Lord Taylor of Holbeach, moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 29 February be approved. The motion was agreed to.

7 Inland Waterways Advisory Council (Abolition) Order 2012 Lord De Mauley, on behalf of Lord Taylor of Holbeach, moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 29 February be approved. The motion was agreed to.

8 Justice and Security Bill [HL] Baroness Stowell of Beeston, on behalf of Lord Wallace of Tankerness, moved that it be an instruction to the Committee of the Whole House to which the Justice and Security Bill [HL] has been committed that they consider the bill in the following order:

Clause 1
Schedule 1
Clauses 2 to 15

Schedules 2 and 3
Clause 16.

The motion was agreed to.

9 European Union (Approval of Treaty Amendment Decision) Bill [HL] The report was received.

10 House of Lords Reform Bill Lord Strathclyde made a statement.

11 Crime and Courts Bill [HL] The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 117. Amendments were agreed to. The House resumed after clause 19 was agreed to.

12 Regeneration A question was asked by Lord Mawson and, after debate, answered by Baroness Hanham.

The House adjourned at 9.00pm until Thursday 28 June at 11.00am.

Grand Committee Business

The Grand Committee met in the Moses Room at 4.45pm.

Civil Aviation Bill The Grand Committee considered the bill. Amendments were agreed to. The Committee adjourned after clause 6 was agreed to.
