5 Electoral Registration and Administration Bill A bill to make provision about the registration of electors and the administration and conduct of elections was brought from the Commons. It was read a first time and ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 33)

6 Electoral Registration and Administration Bill The Explanatory Notes on the bill were ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 33–EN)

7 Business of the House Lord Strathclyde moved that leave be given to advance the motion to approve the Draft Statutory Auditors (Amendment of Companies Act 2006 and Delegation of Functions etc.) Order 2012 from Wednesday 4 July to Monday 2 July. The motion was agreed to.

8 Draft Communications Data Bill The Chairman of Committees moved that the Commons message of 21 June be considered and that a Committee of six Lords be appointed to join with the Committee appointed by the Commons to consider and report on the draft Communications Data Bill presented to both Houses on 14 June (Cm 8359) and that the Committee should report on the draft Bill by 30 November 2012;

That, as proposed by the Committee of Selection, the following members be appointed to the Committee:

1. L Armstrong of Ilminster
2. L Blencathra
3. B Cohen of Pimlico
4. L Faulks
5. L Jones
6. L Strasburger;

That the Committee have power to agree with the Committee appointed by the Commons in the appointment of a Chairman;

That the Committee have power to send for persons, papers and records;

That the Committee have power to appoint specialist advisers;

That the Committee have leave to report from time to time;

That the Committee have power to adjourn from place to place within the United Kingdom;

That the reports of the Committee from time to time shall be printed, regardless of any adjournment of the House; and

That the evidence taken by the Committee shall, if the Committee so wishes, be published.

9 English cathedrals (Balloted debate) Lord Cormack moved that this House takes note of the future of English cathedrals. After debate, the motion was agreed to.

10 Financial Services Authority investigation into LIBOR Lord Sassoon repeated a ministerial statement made in the House of Commons.

11 Education and training: people with hidden disabilities (Balloted debate) Lord Addington moved that this House takes note of accessible education and training for those with hidden disabilities such as dyslexia and autism. After debate, the motion was agreed to.

12 Groceries Code Adjudicator Bill [HL] The bill was reported from the Grand Committee with amendments.

13 Dementia A question was asked by Lord Touhig and, after debate, answered by Earl Howe.
