1 Lord Marshall of Knightsbridge The Lord Speaker informed the House that Lord Marshall of Knightsbridge, a member of the House, had died on 5 July 2012.

3 Passports A question was asked by Lord Roberts of Llandudno and answered by Lord Henley.

4 Eurozone A question was asked by Lord Dykes and answered by Lord Sassoon.

5 European Union: interpretation and translation in criminal proceedings A question was asked by Baroness Coussins and answered by Lord McNally.

6 Designation of Features (Appeals) (England) Regulations 2012 Lord Taylor of Holbeach moved that the draft Regulations be referred to a Grand Committee. The motion was agreed to.

7 Public Bodies (Abolition of Environment Protection Advisory Committees) Order 2012 Lord Taylor of Holbeach moved that the draft Order be referred to a Grand Committee. The motion was agreed to.

8 Public Bodies (Abolition of Regional and Local Fisheries Advisory Committees) Order 2012 Lord Taylor of Holbeach moved that the draft Order be referred to a Grand Committee. The motion was agreed to.

9 Public Bodies (Abolition of the Commission for Rural Communities) Order 2012 Lord Taylor of Holbeach moved that the draft Order be referred to a Grand Committee. The motion was agreed to.

10 Legislative Reform (Annual Review of Local Authorities) Order 2012 Baroness Garden of Frognal, on behalf Lord Hill of Oareford, moved that the draft Order be referred to a Grand Committee. The motion was agreed to.

11 Justice and Security Bill [HL] The bill was considered in Committee. Amendments were considered. The House resumed.

12 Civil Aviation Bill The bill was reported from the Grand Committee with amendments. The bill, as amended, was ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 36)

13 Arts and culture A question was asked by the Earl of Clancarty and, after debate, answered by Viscount Younger of Leckie.

14 Justice and Security Bill [HL] The bill was further considered in Committee, beginning with amendment 24. The House resumed after clause 2 was agreed to.

The House adjourned at 10.14pm until Tuesday 10 July at 2.30pm.

Grand Committee Business

The Grand Committee met in the Moses Room at 3.30pm.

Civil Aviation Bill The Grand Committee further considered the bill, beginning with amendment 64. It was ordered that the bill be reported with amendments.
